What an incredible wrap-up to HKBA (Hong Kong Basketball Academy) ’s Strength and Conditioning (S&C) training at AQ Strong! Our squad showed up ready to push their limits, and we’re excited to share their growth and progress.
Highlights of the Training
🏀 Baseline Testing
We kicked off the training with baseline testing to track speed and power. This crucial step allows us to measure each athlete's starting point and monitor their improvements throughout the program.
💪 Core & Strength Development
Building a strong core is essential for stability on the court. Our sessions focused on exercises that enhance overall strength, helping athletes maintain balance and power during gameplay.
⚡ Speed & Agility Training
To ensure our athletes are game-ready, we emphasized speed and agility drills. These exercises are designed to improve explosiveness, allowing players to make quick, decisive movements during critical moments in a game.
🌀 Mobility Work
Injury prevention is key to an athlete's longevity. Our mobility sessions aimed to enhance movement efficiency, making it easier for players to navigate the court and reduce the risk of injuries.
🧠 Mental Toughness
Strength isn’t just physical; it’s mental too. Through goal setting and visualization techniques, we worked on building mental resilience, which is vital for overcoming challenges both on and off the court.
